 Welcome to the Connecticut Retreat

The Connecticut Retreat was built by a pair of New Yorkers who wanted a "spiritual and artist retreat" convenient to NYC but far from the fast-paced lifestyle of the City.

The first building, a red barn, was constructed in 1985, followed by their residence, "The Big House," completed in 1988 and 1992. Additional out-buildings -- the Cabin in the Woods and The Tree House -- were finished in 1998 and 2008.

Relax and Enjoy Nature
The Retreat is situated on 10 wooded acres surrounded by 1000 acres of forest. Take a short walk through the woods to the swimming lake with a sandy beach. The compound is located on an ancient country road and is a short hike to pristine lakes and miles of trails. Great for family vacation or short-term corporate relocation.
